Cholla Campground is a large, solar-powered site set in the Sonoran Desert along the shores of Roosevelt Lake at an elevation of 2,168 feet. The campground has 206 sites equipped with shade ramadas, fire pits, grills, and picnic tables. Facilities include playgrounds, showers, flush toilets, and developed boat ramps with accessible boarding facilities. Visitors can launch motorized or non-motorized craft onto the water or hike nearby segments of the Arizona Trail. The surrounding landscape features views of the Sierra Ancha, Salome, and Superstition wilderness areas.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Sits on broad, near-level ground.
