Aspen Campground sits at 7,000 feet in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest near Payson and Heber, set within pine, aspen, and meadow terrain near Woods Canyon Lake. This large 136-site facility accommodates tent and RV campers across four loops with spaced-out sites, paved roads, and ranger-led weekend programs. On-site amenities include a boat ramp, a marina with boat rentals, groceries, and firewood, plus lake-loop hiking trails. Showers are located 10 miles away at Canyon Point, while the Mogollon Rim Visitor Center sits a short drive from camp.
