All 9.5 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Mostly graded dirt, with 3.8 miles of dirt. Level ground alongside most of its length. Dead-end road -- no mapped turnaround; expect to back out or unhitch. Cattle guards 0.3, 4.4, 7.6 and 8.1 miles in. Gates 4.7 and 6.1 miles in.
Sec 36 Tank lies 0.2 mi off. Dobson Peak stands 2,380 ft above the site, 2.7 miles northwest. Travellers have camped along here. The nearest town, Douglas, is 31 mi off.
