Camp Rucker sits at 5,533 feet elevation in a grassy, shaded oak, juniper, and Arizona walnut grove within the Chiricahua Mountains. Rucker Creek flows intermittently nearby, framed by Monte Vista Peak. Formerly a single group site, the area now hosts individual walk-in camping. On-site facilities include picnic tables, serving tables, fire rings with grills, vault toilets, and bear-proof trash containers. Nearby options include the historic Rucker Military Camp and Ranch, the scenic Rucker and Tex Canyon drive with its wilderness trailheads, and day trips to Chiricahua National Monument.
