Setting
Sunlight Bay Campground sits along Wilson Slough on Nimrod Lake near the Fourche LaFave River, set between the Ouachita and Ozark Mountains. The park offers 29 modern campsites, a day-use group picnic shelter, a playground, and two boat ramps. Visitors come to fish for catfish, bass, crappie, and bluegill, as well as boat, water ski, and tube on the eastern side of the lake. Seasonal hunting is permitted on surrounding public lands outside recreation zones. State Highway 7, Hot Springs National Park, and Petit Jean State Park are nearby.
Getting there: From Plainview, Arkansas, take Highway 28 west for a quarter mile, then follow signs to the campground.
