Setting
Carden Point Day Use Park sits on the shores of Nimrod Lake, situated between the Ouachita and Ozark Mountains along State Highway 7. The site features a large group picnic shelter equipped with tables, grills, and drinking water, alongside a playground, horseshoe pit, and swimming beach. Nimrod Lake provides 21,000 surrounding acres of public land and open water with 11 boat ramps. Boating, waterskiing, and tubing are permitted on the lake east toward the dam, while the waters offer fishing for catfish, bass, crappie, and bluegill.
Getting there: From Plainview, Arkansas, take Route 60 east for 5.5 miles to the Access Road, then follow signs into campground.
