Choctaw Park is located on the shores of Greers Ferry Lake in the Ozark Mountain foothills. The park offers 106 campsites, 85 of which include electrical hookups. On-site facilities include modern restrooms with hot showers, a group picnic shelter, a playground, a designated swimming area, a boat ramp, and a public marina. The surrounding 30,000-acre reservoir covers the historic 19th-century townsite of Higden. The William Carl Garner Visitor Center sits just west of the dam.
