Setting
Old Post Road Campground sits along Dardanelle Lake on the Arkansas River, positioned between the Ozark and Ouachita National Forests. The park features 37 reservable campsites equipped with water and electric hookups, complemented by a boat ramp, playground, picnic areas, and a paved biking trail that starts in the campground. Additional facilities include soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and tennis courts. Boating and fishing are primary uses for the 40,000-acre reservoir, while the surrounding hardwood forests and nearby Holla Bend National Wildlife Refuge host wintering bald eagles.
Getting there: From SR-7, take Lock and Dam Road for one mile and follow signs into campground.
