Setting
Toad Suck Campground sits along the Arkansas River in a shady setting at the edge of the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains. The park offers 48 campsites with electric and water hookups, five group picnic shelters, hot showers, playgrounds, and a boat ramp. Visitors are drawn to the river for year-round fishing targeting catfish, bass, crappie, and bream, as well as boating and spring views of flowering native trees. Nearby sights include the Cadron Blockhouse in Cadron Settlement Park and the town of Conway.
Getting there: From Conway, Arkansas, travel west for 7 miles on SR-60 and follow signs into the campground. From Initerstate 40 take exit 129B and head South on Dave Ward Drive/Hwy 286. Continue for 7.5 miles until you reach a stop sign. Turn left and continue over the bridge. Immediately after the bridge (and right beore the Toad Suck One Stop) take a hard right and follow the gravel road to the right to get to the main gate. You will drive under the bridge and the gate is on the left.
