The site has 21 shaded campsites spread across the River Road and Project Point loops, a large day-use picnic shelter, a playground, and an on-site river boat ramp. Boaters and anglers use the river and Nimrod Lake for largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, and bream, with 11 public boat ramps surrounding the lake. Tubing and water skiing are permitted east of Carden Point. Forested land around the reservoir hosts deer, turkey, and waterfowl.
