Setting
Quarry Cove Campground sits along the shores of Nimrod Lake between the Ouachita and Ozark mountains. The facility offers 31 shaded campsites, a large group day-use picnic shelter, a swimming beach, a playground, and an on-site boat ramp. Visitors use the impoundment for boating, water skiing, and fishing for catfish, crappie, and bass. Situated off State Highway 7, the campground provides access to 21,000 acres of surrounding public land, with Petit Jean State Park and Mount Nebo State Park located in the surrounding region.
Getting there: From Ola, Arkansas, take Route 7 south for 9 miles. Turn west onto US-60, and continue for .5 miles and follow signs into campground.
