Setting
Cove Lake Recreation Area wraps around the shore of a 160-acre mountain lake in the Ozark National Forest, near Mount Magazine. The campground offers single-family tent and RV sites alongside picnic areas and a group shelter with electricity. Amenities include accessible flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, campfire rings, miniature golf, a boat ramp, and rental canoes or paddleboats. Visitors come to swim, water ski, fish for bass and catfish, and drive the scenic 10-mile route up Mount Magazine.
Getting there: From Paris, take Highway 109 south, then turn southeast on Highway 309 for 9 miles.
