Oak Bower is a group camping facility on the Big Hill Creek arm of the 13,500-acre DeGray Lake. The site features seven heated and air-conditioned sleeping cabins with four bunks each, a dining hall with a full kitchen seating up to 150 people, shower houses, flush restrooms, jug-filling stations, a group-sized grill, and playground equipment. The surrounding lake offers boating, water skiing, kayaking, and fishing, with local hiking trails nearby.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

The DeGray Lake shoreline is 0.1 mi off. Private here -- the nearest through road is 1.2 miles off, a single-site campground. A group campground -- one sits on the water, most of them shaded. Night skies measure Bortle 3 -- a dark rural sky. The nearest town, Lake Hamilton, is 12 mi off.

September normals 6285°F, 4.0″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
