Setting
Stephens Park Day-Use Area sits along Lake Hamilton just below Blakely Mountain Dam, 10 miles west of Hot Springs National Park in the Ouachita Mountains. The park offers direct shoreline fishing and immediate access to the Wood Duck Slough trail and the eastern end of the 44-mile Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT). Boat ramps for both Lake Hamilton (Avery Ramp) and nearby Lake Ouachita (Spillway Ramp) are close by. Facilities on site include a day-use pavilion with electrical hookups, lighting, and picnic tables, alongside a playground and a restroom and shower facility.
Getting there: From Hot Springs, AR: Take US 270 west to AR-227 N/Mountain Pine Rd for 6 miles. Continue straight on Blakely Dam road through Mountain Pine and past Mountain Pine school. Stephens Park will be on your left just before you get to the base of Blakely Mountain Dam.
