Setting
Pendleton Bend Campground sits in an alluvial bottomland forest on the bank of the Arkansas River in Desha County, roughly 3.5 miles upstream from the Wilbur D. Mills Dam. The park features 31 campsites equipped with electric and water hookups, alongside a two-lane boat ramp that provides direct river access for anglers targeting bass, crappie, and catfish. On-site facilities include a comfort station with hot showers and flush toilets, a playground, picnic areas, and a 75-person group shelter. Nearby attractions include the Trusten Holder WMA, Arkansas Post National Memorial, and Dale Bumpers Refuge.
Getting there: From Dumas, Arkansas, take US-165 north for 9 miles to State Route 212. Head east for 2 miles and follow signs to the park.
