Setting
Cherokee Park sits along the Arkansas River on the McClellan-Kerr Navigation System near Morrilton, Arkansas. The facility offers 33 individual campsites equipped with water and 30- or 50-amp electrical hookups, as well as two large group picnic shelters. On-site amenities include hot showers, flush restrooms, a dock, a boat ramp, and a playground. Visitors frequent the park for river fishing, boating, and watching migratory wintering eagles along the water. Petit Jean State Park is a short drive away.
Getting there: From Highway 64 in Morrilton, take AR 21 South. Then take Quincy drive to Cherokee Park.
