U.S. Army Corps of Engineers allows overnight stays only at the designated sites here.

Alpine Ridge Campground sits on the banks of DeGray Lake, a 13,500-acre reservoir on the Caddo River in the Ouachita Mountain foothills. The clear waters draw visitors for water skiing, kayaking, and fishing for hybrid striped bass. The campground features electric hookups at every site, along with flush toilets, hot showers, a boat ramp, a sandy swimming beach, and a playground. Ouachita National Forest, Hot Springs National Park, and DeGray Lake Resort State Park—which has golf and tennis courts—are all located nearby.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Sits on broad, near-level ground.

The DeGray Lake shoreline is 0.1 mi off. Private here -- the nearest through road is 3.5 miles off, a 49-site campground. Most sites here have an electric hookup -- most of them shaded. Night skies measure Bortle 2 -- true dark-sky territory. The nearest town, Arkadelphia, is 13 mi off.

September normals 6285°F, 4.0″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
