Setting
Hickory Creek Park sits on the shores of Beaver Lake in the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas, surrounded by limestone bluffs, caves, and mixed hardwood and evergreen forests. The campground features shaded, spacious sites equipped with picnic areas, campfire rings, drinking water, and flush toilets, plus group picnic shelters. A short distance from the water, the site offers access to the lake's 28,000 acres for boating, swimming, and fishing for bass, catfish, and trout below the dam. Hiking and biking trails snake through the surrounding mountains, and marinas are located around the reservoir.
