Wilbur D. Mills Campground is a small, quiet facility located along the lower Arkansas River directly below the Wilbur D. Mills Dam. The park offers 21 campsites with water and electric hookups, including one accessible site and 17 reservable spaces. Facilities include hot showers and a boat launch. The surrounding bottomland hardwood habitat features year-round hiking trails and sandbars along the unnavigable river section. Nearby public lands include Arkansas Post National Memorial, Arkansas Post State Park, and the Trusten Holder Wildlife Management Area.
Getting there: From Dumas, Arkansas, travel north on US-165 for 9 miles to State Route 212. Turn right and continue 4 miles east, through Pendleton Bend Park, to the campground.
