Prairie Creek in AL -- Campground & RV Camping

Prairie Creek Campground sits beneath oak trees on the banks of Woodruff Lake, a reservoir along the Alabama River in the Black Prairie Belt. The facility features 55 RV sites and seven tent sites, all equipped with electric hookups. On-site amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, laundry facilities, a dump station, a playground, a basketball court, and a picnic shelter. Boaters and anglers can use the campground's ramp and dock to access the lake for bass and crappie fishing, while the 12,500-acre Lowndes Wildlife Management Area is located nearby.

Getting there: From Montgomery, Alabama, follow Highway 80 west for approximately 25 miles. Turn right on County Road 29 and follow the signs into the campground.
