Forkland Campground sits on a shaded high point of mixed pine and hardwood forest along the northern shore of Demopolis Lake. The property features 42 waterfront campsites, all equipped with water hookups, alongside a 50-person day-use picnic shelter. Facilities include shower houses, picnic areas, and a playground. Located across from the gatehouse, an on-site boat ramp provides access to 10,000 acres of water on the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway, while an adjacent hiking trail runs along scenic bluffs overlooking McConnico Creek and the Black Warrior River.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

A pond lies 0.1 mi off. Open country -- nothing named rises within 30 miles of here. Most sites here have an electric hookup -- most of them shaded. Night skies measure Bortle 2 -- true dark-sky territory. The nearest town, Demopolis, is 9.4 mi off.

September normals 6487°F, 3.6″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
